One of the most prominent names in club culture and the Indian dance music industry, DJ Akhtar needs no introduction. After completing his I.C.S.E. exams in 1989 he started off his dj'ing career at a popular south Bombay club -`RG's- now The Intercontinental - marine drive. In 1991 he moved over to the exclusive nightclub of the Taj Mahal hotel, Mumbai - `1900's- now known as Insomnia. Completing his graduation in commerce from University of Bombay and obtaining diplomas in business management, airline travel n tourism(IATA) and computer systems overview(CSO)- (NCC-UK) he made sure that his passion for music and dj'ing did not interfere with his educational background. He's been entertaining and enthralling audiences which include the creme de la creme of society and the likes of many socialites, film stars & international celebrities and icons with his most peculiar and inimitable style of spinning music. DJ Akhtar is the pioneer of mainstream commercial music in India. He has performed at Lakme India Fashion Week, Bombay Times anniversary party every year, Bacardi Blast, Smirnoff Zone, Gladrags party, Ford super models party, SIFA and IIFA awards, Mrs. World Pageant and many more grand events
