Debi Makhsoopuri also known as (Gurdev Singh Gill) is a Punjabi singer, song-writer and poet. born on 10 June, 1966 in the village 'Makhsoospur', district Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Debi Makhsoospuri is living in Canada with family and 3 daughters. Debi Makhsoospuri is one of the famous lyricist and singers of Punjabi songs. He has a number of fans all over the world. He got his first break at the age of 20 as a lyricist when he wrote for Kuldeep Manak. As a singer, he released his debut album Jad Maa Nayi Rehndi in 1994. He wrote many songs for Manmohan Waris and Kamal Heer.He does live shows under the name "Debi live".
