Lucky Ali

Lucky Ali was born in 19 September, 1958 in (Juhu) Mumbai. He is an Indian Singer Songwriter, Composer and Actor, his real name is Maqsood Mehmood Ali. Ali is known for his soulful strinkingly simple Ballad Style singing and melodious voice.

Ali is the son of famous Bollywood Comedian, Mehmood, his mother Mahelaka was part of Bengali and part of Punjabi, he is the brother of popular actress of 1960s Meena Kumari and the Bollywood actress and dancer, Minoo Mumtaz is his Paternal Aunt.0

He is attended Manekji Cooper Kindergarten in Juhu, Bombay Scottish School in Mumbai, Hampton Court in Mussorie, St Georges's College, Mussoorie, Rajkumar College in Raipur and the Bishop Cotton Boys School in Bangalore. In his Childhood he shared a Intense Relation with his father because his father Mehmood was a very busy actor in 1960's and 70's, mehmood was remained away from home for his shoots, Once at the age of five came with his mother to receive Mehmood at the airport, he didn't recognized him and said He's the film Comedian Mehmood. Most of time Lucky lived in Mussoorie for his schooling.

Lucky Ali Married three times till now. his 1st was Meaghan Jane Mcleary a New Zealander citizen, who acted in his video song " O Sanam " From his 1st Album Sunoh, he has two with his 1st wife Ta'awwuz and Tasmia, His 2nd Wife was a Parsi Girl Inaya, from her he has two childern from her too also they are Sara and Raiyan. He Married 3rd Time in 2010, a British Model and Miss England Kate Hallam, and They have a Son named as Dani.0

Lucky Ali made his debut in music industry with his frist album Sunoh which Established him a Indi-Pop singer in Indian Music Industry, through to his frist album he won many awards in 1996, his frist album remain in the MTV Asia Charts for 60 weeks. his Second album was Sifar which is not so popular in Industry. Ali konwn for his unique music style and also for his unique voice.

His third album "Aks" and forth album "Kabhi Aisa Lagta Hai", Both of which were successful Album's. After five years break he released his new Album Xsuie on 19 September 2009 on his Birthday. He is also known for contributing the song "Anjaani Raahon Mein" to the album "Meri Jaan Hindustan" which commemorated 50 years of Indian independence in the year 1997. The video was directed by Mani Shankar, and features him as a young urban man roaming the Indian countryside, trying to discover new meaning to life. When asked about the video, he once said "The video of 'Anjaani Raahon Mein' was a beautiful story in itself. It was done straight from the heart and it is very special to me."

Recently he sang the theme song of the F1 Indian Grand Prix, that was held in Delhi along with KK, Daler Mehndi. After a break he is back from his Album Raasta - Man which is Released in 2011. All songs of Raasta-Man have been recorded at Sterling Studio in New York.

Ali started his playback singing in 1978 from the film "Ek Baap Chee Bete", with the song "Walking and I Am Walking All Alone". Second Song from the film "Dushman Duniya Ka" and the song was "Nasha Nasha". After that his famous songs are from "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai", Hrithik Roshan's debut movie, and the songs are "Na Tum Jaano Na Hum" and "Ek Pal Ka Jeena" both songs are got huge success and many awards.

Recently he sung for the Ranbir Kapoor Starrer Movie's "Bachna Ae Haseeno" and "Anjaana Anjani", "Ahista Ahista" and "Hairat Hain".

Lucky is the son of one of the famous Comedian Actor "Mehmood" and the Nephew of Meena Kumari. Lucky Ali did not lack the requisite opportunity to make his debut as an actor. He acted in a few films in the 1970s and 1980s such as Yeh Hain Zindagi (1977) Hamare Tumhare (1979) and Shyam Benegal 's Trikaal (1985). He also acted in the television series Bharat Ek Khoj Directed by Shyam Benegal. After a long break from acting, he returned in Sanjay Gupta's Kaante (2002) where he acted along leading stars like legend Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Kumar Gaurav and Suniel Shetty. Lucky also acted in the TV serial Zara Hatke. In 2002, he acted in the Hindi musical Sur-The Melody of Life essaying a complex role that earned him accolades as an actor.0
