Rima Mukherjee is an Indian Bengali Playback Singer. Rima is one of the most talented singer from Kolkata, West Bengal. She sung over 83 films. Her last release being Sweetheart.
Rima was born in a Bengali Brahmin Family in Kolkata. She is the younger one in her family and her father was business man and her mother holds a degree in literature. She did her schooling from Bidhya Bharti Girls High School and then carmel high in kolkata. She has a degree of hons in Economics. She trained her intial training from her mother at the age of 2 years. After that she got her training under the Hindustani Classical Music under Asit Sen and presently Pandit Grish Chatterjee.
Rima started her career as a Playback singer at the age of 16 singing for many Television Series and Telefilms for DD Bangla. Rima has perfromed in several prestigious shows including both bengali and hindi songs which include Corporate, Dakshini Barta, Chintan Shibir, Sangbad Pratidin Srijan Sanman Award, Ouitram Club, Anderson Club and manymore.
Rima also got opportunities to Judge Parle Sarswati Bandana form 2009 to 2012, Serum Sarod Sanman 2011 and a Musical Talent Hunt. Rima has sung for four Private Album including “Prayas” a Rabindra Sangeet Album, from Purple Music and “Priyo Rabi Gaan “from Asser Entertainment and “Akanta Aapon” from Raga Music. Her Nightingale Voice has been appreciated by all including stalwarts like Mithun Chakroborty, Santunu Moitra, Honorable Finance Minister Of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Chief Minister Of West Bengal Smt Mamata Banerjee , Dilip Roy, etc. Rima Mukherjee has truly made an indelible mark in Tollywood industry and continues to add the melody in life with her mesmerising voice.
