Sanjay Maroo

Sanjay Maroo is a self taught Drummer, Artist, Composer, Lyricist, Producer, and Vocalist. Twenty-five years in the music scene. In 1994 he joined forces with “Divya”, India’s premier Indo-Jazz fusion band with performances at major International Jazz festivals such as the 25th Tokyo Jazz festival, the Malaysian Jazz festival, The Jazz club Hong Kong etc. alongside Jazz greats such as Giovanni Hidalgo, Dave Valentin, Ernie Watts and Eric Marienthal. Later Maroo went on to compose, produce and perform his own Pop albums such as the highly acclaimed “Fountain of Love” in English which was the first Indian project to be given a top spot on AudioNet. Soon after a language change, followed the super hit Indi-Pop album, “Tu Hi Tu” that launched Sanjay Maroo into the big league of Indian commercial music. This was followed by scores of live performances all over the country including the War of the DJ’s Tour, Independence Rock, The Channel V Roadshow and several T.V. shows on Channel V, MTV, SonyTV, Star TV and international channels such as CNN and BBC.
