Born in 1968, Qawwal Sher Miandad Khan started his career at the age of 10. According to his family traditions he also selected music as a career and learned the art of qawwali from his father Din Mohammed Qawwali, who also taught Nisrat Fateh Ali Khan, a cousin of Sher Miandad Khan. His audio and CD recordings have been released in England, USA, India and Pakistan. He has taken part in several Pakistani TV programs and has composed the music for Pakistani movie called Akhiyan Udikdiyan, and has composed music for famous female Pakstani sufi singer Abida Parveen. He participated in the World’s Sufi Music Festival Pakistan held in Lahore. Sher Miandad has collaborated with a swiss group on the Sufi Moon project and has visited Switzerland performing several projects. Sher Miandad regularly sings at famous shrine of Baba Farid for several years, his group has traveled to many European capitals, USA & Canada. Sher Miandad is a spiritual Qawwal and is much involved in Sufi singing.
